Hard of Hearing Peer Support Group
Level 1: Foundation

Are you 19+?
Do you have hearing loss?
Do you want to explore your hearing loss with others like you?

Only BC residents are eligible to join this group.

This group is psychoeducation-based with peers discussion focused with weekly topics. In this Level 2, participants get to suggest weekly topics and they will be explored further in group discussions with hard of hearing professionals with lived experience.

Topics will include Hard of Hearing Identity, Accessibility, Coping Strategies, Technology, and more.

Participants are expected to have their camera on as this will be an interactive group.

Accessibility Measures: Group will be run in spoken English and real-time CART will be provided. If you require other accessibility accommodations, please email us.

Bios of the facilitators:
Felicia is a Registered Social Worker in BC. She is hard of hearing and has worked at the Well Being Program for 9 years.
Dizzy is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC. Dizzy is hard of hearing and works with WBP as a contracted therapist.
