Learning How to Support Loved Ones
With Sudden/Late Hearing Loss

Do you have a family member who has had a sudden change in their hearing? Are you wondering how to support them and yourself through this new journey?

If so, this group is for you! It will be run by Well Being Program for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind.

Come meet others with similar experiences. Topics include: communication strategies, grief and loss, relationship shifts, caring and burnout, and technology updates. Thursday October 19th, 26th, November 2nd and 9th, 2023.

6-7:30PM on Zoom – Spoken English and Captioned. Free.

Facilitated by Felicia D’Amato, a registered social worker with 7 years of experience in the mental health field. Felicia is hard of hearing and uses both speech and sign daily. She has worked with adults and seniors in her role, supporting many transitioning into assisted living and adapting to life changes that include aging and beyond. In her role at the Well Being Program, she provides counselling, system navigating, consultation and education around hearing loss, and has run groups and workshops. She is passionate about empowering others with information and meeting clients where they are at.
