A flyer for a “Health Advocacy Workshop” organized by Vancouver Coastal Health’s Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind Well-Being Program. The event is on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at AimHi, 956 Kerry Street, Prince George. It is specifically for people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind, and it is for BC residents only. The flyer outlines the workshop topics, including:

– What is Health Advocacy?

– What is the current system like?

– Tips for advocating for yourself and your support system

– Q&A period

Schedule:

10 AM – 12 PM: Part 1

12 PM – 1 PM: Lunch

1 PM – 3 PM: Part 2 & Wrap Up

People are encouraged to sign up or request accommodations by emailing felicia.damato@vch.ca before Friday, September 26, 2025. The workshop will be in ASL, with voice interpreters available on request. Lunch is provided by NIAD. The flyer includes the Vancouver Coastal Health logo at the bottom right corner.
