DESCRIPTION:Text version of the flyer:\nAre you hard of hearing? 19+?\nDo you want a safe space to talk about your experiences\, get ideas and gain skills? \nIf so\, this group is for you! \nThis group will be facilitated by WBP staff with weekly topics for discussion. It will be a combination of peer to peer support and psychoeducation around the identified topics. \nGroup will run weekly for 6 weeks on zoom in spoken language and professional captioning will be provided. It’s a private group and safe space for everyone included. \nTopics will include:\n• Hard of Hearing: meaning and identity exploration\n• Accessibility options at home\, work\, and beyond\n• Listening fatigue\, lipreading\, and how to self-advocate\n• Coping skills for many different scenarios\n• Discussion opportunities for resources\, ideas\, and more \nWhen: Tuesdays; October 8 to Nov 5\nWhere: Online\, Zoom – in your private\, safe space\nTime: 6 – 7:30PM \nSign up or have questions?\nEmail: felicia.damato@vch.ca \nSign up deadline: October 4\n*priority given to new registrants*
